Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes — and it's probably nothing like you imagine. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused relaxation, similar to being absorbed in a book or daydream. You remain aware and in control throughout. Most clients describe it as one of the most deeply calming experiences they've had.

  • No. This is one of the most common concerns — and completely understandable given how hypnosis is portrayed in films and on stage. In a therapeutic setting, you are never unconscious, never unaware, and never made to do anything against your will. You are simply in a relaxed, receptive state. If anything made you uncomfortable, you could open your eyes and end the session at any moment.

  • Many clients notice a shift after their very first session — a sense of calm, clarity, or a change in how they respond to situations that previously triggered them. Because this work addresses the subconscious root of the issue rather than managing symptoms on the surface, change tends to happen faster than with traditional approaches. That said, everyone is different, and some goals take more than one session to fully resolve.

  • Talk therapy works with your conscious, analytical mind — understanding why you feel the way you do. That understanding is valuable, but it doesn't always translate into change. Hypnotherapy works at the subconscious level, where the patterns, beliefs and emotional responses that drive your behaviour actually live. It's not about talking through the problem — it's about changing the relationship your nervous system has with it.

  • Almost everyone can be hypnotized to some degree. The ability to enter a hypnotic state isn't a special talent — it's simply the ability to relax and follow gentle guidance, which most people can do naturally. Clients who are skeptical or analytical often find that their first session surprises them.

  • Sessions typically last 60 to 90 minutes. Your first session includes a consultation so I can understand your situation fully, tailor the approach to you, and make sure we're the right fit to work together.

  • This depends entirely on your goals. Many clients start weekly for momentum, then move to fortnightly or monthly as things shift. We'll agree a plan together in your first session — and it can always be adjusted as you progress.

  • Hypnotherapy is not recommended for people experiencing psychosis or schizophrenia, epilepsy. If you're under psychiatric care, please check with your doctor before booking. If you're unsure whether it's right for you, feel free to reach out before making a decision.

  • Sessions are available in English, German and Romanian — so you can work in the language your mind and body feel most at home in.

  • Yes. Sessions can be held online via video call or in person at my practice in Differdange, Luxembourg. Both formats are equally effective.

  • I accept Payconiq, bank transfer, and cash for in-person sessions.
